Rick's Heart Foundation was Surrey Eagle's charity of choice for their last home game of the regular season on March 22nd! They provided us with game tickets for local seniors' care staff, and highlighted our Heart for Music Program at our two tables. Our team experienced the joy, energy, and community of South Surrey at the Surrey Eagle's home game!
We loved meeting families, handing out free CALM magnesium, and all the kids (and some adults) who spun the wheel for goodies - Even "Elvis" made an appearance🕺
Our founder, Rick, and Heart for Music Coordinator, Janae, took to the ice for the puck drop and felt honored to be included in the pre-game ceremony. Thank you Noah at Surrey Eagles for hosting us, for your work in the community, and for such a fun night!
Thirty people took part in our door prize, and one lucky person won a Fire Tablet and Bluetooth Heaphones. These items represent a part of the donation that we send to Canadian care homes, and they fill the need that is often met by recreational therapists who have to use their own resources.
A big thank you to: Surrey Eagles for having us, and thank you to our volunteers who made our table so much fun!
